Ziyarat means visiting the sites or areas linked to our beloved prophet Muhammad (SAWW), his family members, friends, and descendants. Ziyarat sites include mosques, graveyards, caves, and mountains.

ZIYARAT INFO IN MAKKAH

Let us discuss some of the Ziyarat places we offer in our different umrah packages. These Ziyarats are in Makkah. Every Muslim who goes for Hajj or umrah wants to doZiyarat of these places.

1. BIRTHPLACE OF HOLY PROPHET (PBUH)

Located near ‘suq lail’ near to mount Marwah where the birth of our beloved holy prophet (PBUH0 took place. Until 1950 a mosque was there at the birthplace but now converted into a library named as ‘Maktaba Makkah-al-Mukarramah’ here.

2. CAVE OF HIRA

The place where Holy Prophet (PBUH) used to offer prayers and meditate during the initial forty years of his life is the cave of Hira. Situated about 5 kilometers from Masjid-e-Haram. Pilgrims can reach the cave of Hira b climbing a mountain which takes around 45 minutes. It is also the place where Holy  Prophet received first revelation or wahi.

3. CAVE OF SAUR

It is the place where Prophet (PBUH) hid from his enemies in companionship with Hazrat Abu Bakar (R.A) during migration from Makkah to Madina. They both spent three days and three nights in the cave of saur. The whole journey from the ground to the cave takes around one and a half hour.

4. JABAL-E-REHMAT

Jabal-e-Rehmat is a granite hillock approximately 20 kilometers from Makkah city. It is the place of historical importance in Islam as many events took place here. Hazrat Adam met with his wife Hawwa here, and he was forgiven at this place that is the reason it is called Jabal-e-Rehmat (MOUNT OF MERCY). The Prophet (PBUH) delivered his last sermon on this mountain. Every pilgrim wishes to offer prayer in its vicinity.

5. MASJID E AYESHA

It is the second largest mosque in Makkah with the capacity to accommodate around 47,000 Muslims. It is the place where pilgrims put on their Ihraam for doing umra. Its Islamic history significance is that Hazrat Ayesha put on ihram at this place according to the order and instructions of Prophet (PBUH).

6. JANNAT-UL-MOALLAH

It is the second holiest graveyard. Holy Prophet (PBUH) used to visit here frequently. Many close relatives of Prophet (PBUH) buried here. Some of them are:

  • Hazrat Khadija (first wife of Holy Prophet)
  • Abd Manaf
  • Hashim
  • Abdul Mutlib
  • Amina (mother of Holy Prophet)
  • Qasim

7. MASJID E JINN

A mosque situated on the Al-Haram Street is a place where jinns use to do bait in the presence of Holy Prophet (PBUH). It is situated near to Jannat-ul-Moallah.

8. MASJID AL KHAYF

It is a small mosque located in the south of mina. It has its historical importance in Islam because Holy prophet (PBUH) with his numerous prophets offer prayer here.

ZIYARAT INFO IN MADINA

There are many places in Madina too where pilgrims want to do Ziyarat. Some of the common places which our umrah agents recommend in different umrah packages are:

1. MASJID E QUBA

It is the first mosque in the history of Islam. Its foundation is led by Holy Prophet (PBUH) himself. It is approximately three kilometers away from Masjid-e-nabvi.

2. MASJID E JUMMAH

While traveling from Quba to Madinah Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW) offers Jumma prayer at this point. Later on, where a mosque is built called as masjid-e-jummah.

3. MASJID-E-ZARRAR

The remains of the mosque zarrar located in Madinah, it is the place where munafiqeen gathered and discusses issues regarding against Muslims.

4. MASJID E GHAMAMA

It is the place where Holy Prophet offers a prayer for rain. Also, He used to offer Eid namaz at this place. In this reference, it is also called Masjid-e-eid. This masjid is at a walking distance from Masjid-e-nabvi.

5. MASJID E ABU BAKAR

This mosque is built at the place where Hazrat Abu Bakar (R.A) resides during his lifetime.

6. MASJID E ALI

This mosque is built on the residence place of the fourth caliph of Muslims Hazrat Ali (R.A).

7. MASJID E BILAL

Masjid e Bilal is located adjacent to Masjid-e-Nabvi and close to the dates market. It is built on the place of residence of Hazrat Bilal (R.A)

8. MOUNTAIN OF UHAD

The place where a battle of uhad fought and the graves of martyrs are located here.

9. MASJID-E-QIBLATAIN

The masjid where Prophet (PBUH) got the orders from Allah to change the direction during prayer from Bait ul maqbas to the Khana Kaaba.

10. BATTLE OF TRENCH

The place where the battle of the trench was fought has now a mosque called Masjid-e-Fatah.
