Islam is a religion of peace, and it makes it a priority to protect and preserve the respect and rights of everyone so that nobody gets harm because of any individual. Allah knows better how to protect the weak ones that are why women are allowed to be treated in a noble, dignified and respectful manner. There are many rulings throughout the life of Prophet (SAAW) on how to treat and deal with women. The honor and respect given to women in Islam are not comparable to any other religion. Therefore, to protect a woman our Prophet (SAAW) didn’t allow a Muslim woman to travel alone for Hajj or umra. Now comes the question then if a woman is alone how she can perform hajj or umra. Hajj is made obligatory for a Muslim once in a lifetime if Allah has given him the ability to afford all the expenses. While Umrah is not obligatory on any Muslim and it can be performed at any time of the year except the Zul hajj month during which Hajj is performed. Many Muslims prefer to do Umrah in Ramzan for highest rewards and also to experience the fasting in Makkah and Madina.

Sasta Umrah is responsible for telling you all the rulings and requirements for a woman to get an Umrah package and perform Umrah. Our Umrah agents did not tell you the incomplete information regarding any step of Umrah package processing. They are honest in their dealings and are not allowed to charge an extra amount of money. You can check our price tags reliability directly by checking with the embassy, hotels or airlines for the rates we are offering. Certain essential requirements are already told in our Umrah requirements section. Others which are left in that section are the rulings on mahram.  Women are allowed to make this journey to holy cities of Makkah and Madina with a person who is their mahram according to Islamic rulings. Sasta Umrah is going to give you some information regarding mahram requirements.

WHO IS MAHRAM?

According to Islam a mahram for a Muslim woman is any male person of the family with whom she can’t marry. It could be her father, son, husband, brother, grandfather, grandson, nephew, father-in-law, son-in-law, stepson, stepfather, and any male who is breastfed by her mother.

DIFFERENT OPINIONS

Different scholars are of the different reviews for a woman not having a mahram. Some scholars say that for a woman who is financially and physically able to go for Umrah or hajj but is not accompanied by a mahram has not the obligation to perform Hajj or umra. While others have the views that a lady who is financially well but not having a mahram to accompany her, she can sponsor someone to perform Hajj or Umrah in her place.

SAUDI GOVERNMENT RULES

Sasta Umrah agents try their best to get the clients Umrah visa issued in a single try, but Saudi government has some rules and regulations for the issuance of Umrah visas to women. Therefore, our Umrah agents will tell you all mahram requirements obeying them grants the Umrah visa without any difficulty. The mahram requirements are:

  • A woman below 45 years of age is not allowed to travel alone without a mahram accompanying him. The mahram should provide the proof of relationship with the woman.
  • Mahram should be 17 years of age or older if he is accompanying a woman. Below 17 years of age, male relative is not allowed to go along with a woman as a mahram.
  • A woman older than 45 years of age if she wants to perform Hajj or Umrah can accompany with a group or her family but with the approval of her husband. And if she is a widow, the approval of mahram is required. A no objection certificate is required in this case.

VISA PROCEDURE IF MAHRAM IS IN DIFFERENT COUNTRY

What to do if your mahram is in the different country wants to accompany you but is unable to manage to come to your country. Rather wants to join you in Hajj or Umrah directly. Sasta Umrah has the best solution for it.

  • Our umrah agents will contact the mahram residing in the different country and ask them to contact the agent who is authorized by the Saudi government in their country for visa issuance.
  • Then Sasta Umrah agents will book your Umrah ticket indirectly keeping the transit before Jeddah where you both can join each other and enter the Saudia (Jeddah or Madina) together.
  • Umrah agent will ask your Mahram to book Umrah ticket with the same transit airport through their agent.

In this way, Sasta Umrah makes it possible for any woman whose mahram is in the different country and wants to perform Umrah or Hajj with her mahram. Sasta Umrah is responsible for your whole Umrah package including the hotel booking in Makkah and Madina. You don’t need to worry about that too because we want our client just to pay attention to their journey of hajj or Umrah rather than worrying about Umrah ticket booking, hotel bookings in Makkah and Madina or visa issuance. It is the responsibility of Sasta Umrah once you have given the required documents for visa processing.
